      NOW Orchestra celebrates its 35th year with Hear it NOW: Time Travel, on at the Dance Centre (677 Davie Street) from Thursday to Saturday (November 22 to 24) at 8 p.m. Under the artistic direction of Coat Cooke, the three-day event will feature Orkestra Futura with special guests each evening.

      On Thursday, Jeff Younger’s Unsupervised and Tony Wilson’s Longhand Trio will lead the way. Friday’s show will feature Orkestra Futura with legendary composer-improviser-instrumentalist George E. Lewis and composer and electronics artist Giorgio Magnanensi. The final night will feature over 30 musicians from the Improvised Music Workshops.

      Orkestra Futura includes Lisa Miller on keyboards, DB Boyko vocals, Peter Hurst vocals, Jesse Zubot on violin, Brad Muirhead on bass and trombone, Kristian Naso on trumpet, Lee Hutzulak on electronics, Chad MacQuarrie on guitar, Clyde Reed on bass, and Skye Brooks on drums.

      Tickets to Hear it NOW: Time Travel are $20 for adults, $15 for members, and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased online.
