The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors mörkö

Vancouver New Music co-presents an interdisciplinary performance, mörkö, which features sound by Emma Hendrix, live animation by Ciny Mochizuki, and direction by James Long. mörkö runs at the Russian Hall (600 Campbell Avenue) on June 26 at 9 p.m. and June 27 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

mörkö is based on a collection of interviews with Vancouver residents about "monsters". The performance shapes a portrait of the city through the "monstrous", a space or creature that represents the fear of the unknown.

Tickets are between $5 and $10, and reservations to the show are required (a mixmum of 30 audiences members are allowed per show). Reservations can be made by emailing morkoboxoffice@gmail.com
