The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Robert Lepage’s Far Side of the Moon
SFU’S Goldcorp Centre for the Arts and Théâtre la Seizième present Robert Legpage’s celebrated one-man show, Far Side of the Moon, at the Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre at SFU Woodwards (149 West Hastings Street) from November 1 to 10.
Far Side of the Moon is set during the Soviet-American space race, where Philippe, a man coping with the loss of his mother and estrangement of his only sibling, looks to the sky for answers. Philippe’s quest for the answer to the question “Are we alone?” is punctuated by memories of his childhood.
This production of Far Side of the Moon will star Yves Jacques from November 1 to 4 and then Lepage in the lead role from November 6 to 10. The play also features a score by Laurie Anderson. Evening performances start at 8 p.m. and matinee performances on November 3, 4, and 10 start at 2 p.m. On November 6, the play will be performed in French.
Tickets are $39 to $75 and can be purchased online through the Cultch’s box office.
