The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Tallis Scholars’ Christmas Concert

Early Music Vancouver presents the Tallis Scholars’ Christmas Concert at UBC’s Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (6265 Crescent Road) on Thursday (December 6) at 8 p.m.

The program will feature two double-choir settings of the Magnificat—one in Spanish, the other in German. The first half will include Osculetur me by Lassus from the Song of Songs, while the second half will feature one of Arvo Pärt’s finest motets, I am the true vine. The program will end with two Christmas carols, In dulci jubilo and Joseph lieber.
