The Vancouver Cantata Singers will perform their annual holiday concert, A Christmas Reprise, at Holy Rosary Cathedral (646 Richards Street) on Saturday (December 22) at 2 p.m. This year’s guest conductor is Paula Kremer, who has been singing with the Vancouver Cantata Singers for 18 years and has conducted a number of local choirs.

This year’s program will include an eclectic sampling of traditional and contemporary holiday songs, including new pieces and original compositions by choir members. Highlights of the show include “O come, O come Immanuel” and “O Tannenbaum “ featuring men’s voices; “Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming” and “Nativitatis tua” featuring women’s voices. Other songs include arrangements of “The Holly and the Ivy”, “Angels We have Heard on High”, and “Away in a Manger”. As per tradition, the concert will end with a performance of “Ave Maria”.

Tickets to A Christmas Reprise 2012 are $18 and can be purchased in advance online or by calling 604-730-8856. Tickets can also be purchased at the door if available.
