The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Variety's Food Fight! The Battle for Brunch

Not that we need an excuse to enjoy brunch on a Sunday, but Variety—The Children’s Charity is giving us one: On April 22, some of B.C.’s finest chefs will compete for your discerning tastebuds at Variety’s Food Fight! The Battle for Brunch at the Terminal City Club (837 West Hastings Street). The event takes places from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and all funds raised benefit B.C. children with special needs.

Back for a third year in a row, Variety’s Food Fight! is a unique fundraising event featuring top-notch Metro Vancouver chefs and their brunch offerings. Attendees are encouraged to sample each chef’s entry and cast a ballot, with the top chef being named the Food Fight! champ.

This year’s Food Fight! features EBO Restaurant, Save On Meats, Terminal City Club, The Abercorn Hotel & Restaurant, Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort, and YEW restaurant + bar.

Meanwhile, brunch-time mimosas will come courtesy of a cash bar, which will offer a selection of wines, champagne, and other libations.

Emceed by Vancouver personality, Fred Lee, Food Fight! The Battle for Brunch will include a live and silent auction with items from Semperviva Yoga Studio, Top Table Restaurant Group, The Listel Hotel, and more.

Tickets are priced at $45 and are available online or by calling the Variety office at 604-320-0505.
