The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Whistler Film Festival

The 12th annual Whistler Film Festival takes place November 28 to December 2 at various Whistler venues. This year’s festival features more than 90 original films across Canada and around the world over the course of five days. In addition, festival guests include directors, actors, and members of the film community.

This year’s opening gala film is Still, Michael McGowan’s feature about an aging New Brunswick couple. New to the 2012 festival is the celebrity challenge ski race, which partners with Artists for Peace and Justice. In addition, festival ticket prices have been rolled back to 2010 prices, meaning $12 for regular admission and $10 for students, seniors, and matinee screenings.
