Get "Joyful, Joyful" with the Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir auditions

I've been practicing my best impersonation of Lauryn Hill in Sister Act 2 in front of my bathroom mirror over the past few days because I somehow convinced myself to audition for the Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir next month.

The choir is holding open auditions for soprano, alto, and tenor parts on June 6 and June 13. Auditions, which must be booked in advance, include singing one song of your choice, some vocal exercises, and an interview.

The choir was founded in 2004 by current artistic director Gail Suderman and Marcus Mosely, and is currently 75 members strong. They rehearse on Monday nights at the Christ Church Cathedral (690 Burrard Street) from September to June, and sing at numerous concerts throughout the year.

Visit the Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir website for more details and to book an audition, and good luck!

Because I haven't had time to create a recording of myself singing one of the most beloved gospels to date, "Joyful, Joyful", here is Ms. Lauryn Hill. Trust me, I sound exactly the same.
