As part of the 2011 Grey Cup Festival, Safeway will be sponsoring a parade that will wind its way through downtown Vancouver on November 26.

The parade will begin on Smithe at Hornby, turn right at Burrard, and head towards the water. While part of the parade procession will head west on W. Cordova, the remaining portion of the parade will travel down Canada Place Way to the Nissan Family Zone, located at Jack Poole Plaza. The parade is expected to wrap up around noon, but fans can linger and enjoy a full day of family-friendly entertainment.

This year’s parade involves over 3,000 participants, including 14 marching bands, 100 “Raise the Roof” dancers, and seven elaborate floats. Glee star Cory Monteith is slated to act as the grand marshal, while fellow Canadian Rick Hansen will be the honourary grand marshal.
