Hobo director Jason Eisener brings a touch of class to VIFF’s Film and TV Forum

Anybody who’s ever dreamed of making a proud and outrageously offensive piece of cinematic trash needs to hear what filmmaker Jason Eisener has to say when he joins a discussion called Success Stories at the VIFF’s Film and TV Forum, on Saturday (October 1).

Eisener made last year’s disgusting Georgia Straight fave Hobo with a Shotgun, based on an award-winning trailer he directed for the SXSW Robert Rodriguez GRINDHOUSE Trailer Competition in 2007. The full-length feature went on to successfully dent Canada’s reputation around the world.

Eisener joins Small Town Murder Songs director Ed Gass-Donnelly on the panel, which starts at 3 pm. You can read Mike Usinger’s interview with Eisener here.
