Hugh Grant, Dan Savage support same-sex Out4Marriage campaign
Hugh Grant has expressed his support for same-sex marriage—even though he doesn't believe in marriage in general.
The Four Weddings and a Funeral star appears in a video made for Out4Marriage, a British web campaign for gay marriage that is modelled after the It Gets Better campaign.
Others who have shot videos for Out4Marriage include U.K. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, Virgin founder Richard Branson, and pop stars Sinitta, The Saturdays, and Paloma Faith.
Dan Savage, he of Savage Love, made a video as well.
In it, Savage makes a reference to his marriage here in Vancouver. He mentions how he cofounded the It Gets Better campaign with his "husband in Canada, boyfriend in America".
(Both Savage and Terry Miller were recently honoured with an award at the Creative Arts Emmys for their campaign.)
The campaign has even included some golden words from The Golden Girls.
The campaign website notes that although it was launched in the U.K., it is meant to address rights for same-sex marriage around the world.
