James Barber’s cookbooks for sale
Long-time Georgia Straight contributor James Barber died in 2007, but the Urban Peasant’s cookbook collection lives on. His widow, Christina Burridge, is now offering the books for sale to the public, with the proceeds to benefit Providence Farm, one of Barber’s favorite charities.
The informal trunk sale will take place on September 23 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Barbara-Jo’s Books to Cooks (1740 West 2nd Avenue).
