Lady Gaga brings her Monster Ball tour to Vancouver

Your summer just got a whole lot hotter with news that pop star Lady Gaga will be back in Vancouver on August 23, for the second leg of her Monster Ball tour.

The singer known as much for her outlandish fashion sense as her music announced her 31-date North American tour on the heels of her sold-out European tour. The tour will begin in Montreal’s Bell Centre on June 28, with Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver as the only other Canadian cities listed.

“It’s more of a musical and less of a concert,” Gaga told Ryan Seacrest in an interview before the UK tour kicked off. “It has a New York theme, it’s a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we’re going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost.”

The tour has been getting rave reviews from critics around the globe, and Vancouver fans can get their tickets on March 19 at 10 am from www.livenation.com.

would rather watch the black bloc smash some more windows on georgia street, where are the protesters when you need them? KEEP GAGA OUT OF CANADA - we want musicians with talent, not corporate whores with dance numbers and who need to use shock and awe just to gain attention.

To "yuck" and "crap":

Do yourselves a favour and YouTube a couple of Lady Gaga's performances, especially her solo piano numbers. She's a very gifted songwriter, musician and singer who also happens to know how to work the pop machine.

I'm a 39 year old man who's generally no fan of "corporate whore" music and Gaga is among my favourite newer artists.

Lady Gaga was a songwriter for a record label before becoming a pop star. She writes her own music, and yes she can sing! Did anyone see her perfom on SNL last year? What she is doing is fresh, original and most of all it's entertaining. Give the hating a rest, she's good at what she does.

Lady Gaga does not judge other artists or has an ego to make herself seem better than others. Everybody has many layers to them and gaga's song ranges from emotional hurt to outlandish fun. She says things that are probably on the minds of many people but who are never willing to put themselves out the "raw". Embrace your uniqueness and courage to stand up for her own music and ideas. We are all "freaks" in our own way and have flaws she's just more accepting of them and makes them her strength so for all the gaga haters out there never judge a book by it's cover or even the first chapter. Where are all the open minded and accepting people in this world. Madonna was like the first evolution of sexuality in music and she faced criticism now we are attacking Gaga? Give me a break.

Gaga is amazing.
She's inspired by one of the most amazing people of all time ..
Madonna! but she didn't copy her, she is her own person and has her own talents! At the age of 2 she could play piano just by hearing a song she could play it back. Not very many 2 year olds can do that! I love her! she's flippin awesome.

Not only she is talented in many different aspects, but she is sending many valuable messages: don't judge, accept yourself and others, beauty is skin deep etc. No wander she ranked No.1 as the most influential person in the world!!! This is more than singing and performing IT IS ACTUALLY EDUCATING! I am 50 and I am WOW-ed !!! On top of all this she is humble and appreciating.

Honestly, do you losers have nothing better to with your life than make fun of the amazing lady gaga? ya if she is so untalented and retarded why does she win several awards, 50 million likes on facebook, top album of the year, etc. Id like to see how talented "you" are.
