Led Zeppelin reunites (to promote new concert film)

    1 of 1 2 of 1

A couple weeks back there was a major buzz around Vancouver about a huge concert that was going to be announced, the first show to take place at the newly refurbished B.C. Place since Roger Waters hauled Pink Floyd's massive Wall there last May.

Rumours were rife--in this dude's mind, anyway--that maybe it was going to be Led Zeppelin on the reunion tour that's been talked about since the band--guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist-keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer Jason Bonham (son of original Zep skinbasher Bonzo)--played that one-off gig at London's 02 Arena back in 2007.

Turns out the big announcement in Vancouver was only for a show by ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, who sold the joint out almost instantly.

But the notion that Led Zeppelin may once again walk that "Stairway to Heaven (and Untold Tour Profits)" was rekindled today when Page, Plant, and Jones got together in London to plug the upcoming release of Celebration Day, the concert film of the 2007 show, which was a tribute to their dear friend, Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. It will be released in 1,5000 theatres around the world Oct. 17 and on video Nov. 19.

But, no matter how much guys like Alice Cooper may want Zep to get back on stage and kick it old school, the three principals flatly avoided any comment on any impending reunion.

They did tease the hell out of Zep fans everywhere by releasing this new clip of "Black Dog" on YouTube though:

Here's the track listing for Celebration Day: 1: Good Times, Bad Times; 2: Ramble On; 3: Black Dog; 4: In My Time Of Dying; 5: For Your Life (live debut); 6: Trampled Underfoot; 7: Nobody's Fault But Mine; 8: No Quarter; 9: Since I've Been Lovin' You; 10: Dazed And Confused; 11: Stairway To Heaven; 12: The Song Remains the Same; 13: Misty Mountain Hop; 14: Kashmir; 15: Whole Lotta Love; 16: Rock And Roll.

Anybody else slightly ticked that "The Rover" didn't make the cut?

I notice in that clip that Jonesy (and sub-Bonham) are actually getting camera time. Now there's a first.

Because Steve, in my world everyone loves me unconditionally and more than life itself.
Just ask Charlie. And he owes me beers.
But the Mcintosh system does test that love at times.
The O2 concert will be a favourite for a while. Can't wait.
The Rover would have been sweet.
