Liberal candidate Joyce Murray's son, Baba Brinkman, disses Stephen Harper in rap music video

The son of Joyce Murray, who's seeking re-election as the Liberal MP for Vancouver Quadra, has put out a music video that says most Conservative backbenchers should be thrown in prison.

In the video for "Don't Vote for Mean People", rap artist Baba Brinkman calls Conservative Leader Stephen Harper a "menace" and urges Canadians to vote for his mother's party.

"When the chance comes, don't let Stephen Harper hold democracy for ransom," Brinkman raps.

He also disses the Bloc Québécois and NDP.

Murray promotes the music video in weekly campaign update emailed to supporters on Sunday (April 10).

"My son Baba traditionally writes his political views into a rap song every election time and this election is no exception," Murray says in her update. "I don’t always agree with every detail in his creative interpretation of the issues, but his raps are always entertaining!"

Sadly, we have all been indoctrinated into believing we need to take partisan sides. It's how politicians keep this sick & twisted system going - and the banksters winning.

Video's like this only reinforce the indoctrination and serve the system - not the people.

If we could only somehow get past these distractions and focus, we might realize that we are being played against each other.

Harper said in 2004, "We can create a country built on solid Conservative values, not on expensive Liberal promises, a country the Liberals wouldn't even recognize, the kind of country I want to lead."

Personally, I liked Canada the way I recognized it before Harper assumed power. He's a "menace," alright. He's dismantling Canada piece by piece.--@Rolf_Auer

Tragically, "disses" appears in Webster's English language dictionary as do all of the other expected conjugations of this verb, to dis. Can mofo be far behind?

Brinkman's label of autocratic Stephen Harper as "mean people" rings true. The PM rules by flag- waving and fear-mongering. Harper's peers and critics know him as " Angry Steve ".

Sadly, along the way, Baba's rap turns into crap. His claim that NDP supporters are "mean votes by proxy", splits truth and credibility.

Polling trends indicate a Conservative minority or worse - a majority.

The best outcome for people is a large NDP caucus with Jack Layton's trusted leadership.

A Liberal majority or minority requires a significant, fundamental shift in voting behavior. This is highly unlikely two weeks before E -Day.

Reality is Liberals cannot govern without critical support from the NDP and their workable policy ideas.

No, we should vote for Liberal candidates with ties to white power groups, as was recently evidenced in Quebec.

Wow, do this guy represent the typical son of a liberal? So keep and entitled that he never has to grow up? Responding by informing us he is a teacher will make it worse.
