Live Nation has announced that Los Angeles heavy-metal group Metallica will perform at Rogers Arena on Friday, August 24.

The show will be taped for an upcoming Metallica-related film, and will feature a selection of hits spanning the band’s entire 30-year career, as performed on a 360-degree, 140-by-50-foot stage.

”Our rabid Canadian fans will love this sick as fuck, over the top, out of control stage that will be the cornerstone of our touring escapades for the next years to come,” said Metallica’s Lars Ulrich. “Don’t be scared boys and girls, this is going next level.”

Tickets for the show are priced at $125, $89.50, and $49.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (May 25) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Are they out of good ideas... "sick as fuck", really? Their documentary just proved that they are just sick of making music and each other.

Trank! stank! What an idiot, the documentary was made 10 years ago when they were at a low point in their career.

      Woohoo!
Seen them 3 times in the past and always a great show. Add this "sick as fuck" stage and a Friday night (always makes a concert better) gig to boot and we're in for a good night, Metallicats!

What they really mean is that their stage will make them "rich as fuck". 360 degrees allows them to sell more tickets in a giant hockey arena at the cost of any musical chemistry while performing.

These cunts should just give it up. People say "That doc was so long ago"!
Yeah, no shit you fucking imbeciles, doesn't mean the milk ain't gone bad. Riding on the coattails of your own bullshit is fucking pointless. If Metallica gave a shit about their fans this show would be fucking FREE. I know, bad business model to strive for, but basically: THESE COCKSUCKERS COULD AFFORD IT.
Shopping in Beverly Hills, psychologists helping you write songs, horse ranches, modern art, etc, etc, etc.
I was a hardcore Metallica fan for the longest time, even through their coked up "Gimme Fuel" days and guess what?
The cunts have yet to deliver on any promise they've laid out.
I've stopped caring you fuckheads, go home, take care of your kids, take em' to ballet lessons and leave the real metal to Dethklok.
Oh, and try not to die in a flaming 767 jet wreck you fucking douchebags.
