Mom bellows that there will be no Christmas presents for this young atheist

The Live Leak website has a video that demonstrates why some American Christians are held in low regard.

As you can see below, a teenager named Michael breaks the news to his mother that he doesn't believe in God.

The mother then erupts in some ungodly language, calling his belief "bullshit" and ordering him to attend church every week.

"Well, let me tell you, you want to know there is no God?" the mother demands. "Then you're going to get absolutely nothing, nothing, for Christmas because that's what Christmas is about—Jesus Christ!"

This kid isn't crazy—he just doesn't believe in an invisible deity.

jonny .
ugh.

let me just say, out of all the people I have ever known, the worst people and the dumbest people have all been christians. The smartest people I have known, and most of the nicest people I have known have not believed in any religion.

Kudos to that kid for standing up for himself. Most people dont have the guts to take a stand until after they leave home.

It's not the disbelief that matters it's what is practiced that proves any belief and it's substance .

If you don't love Jesus you go to hell. You go to hell and you die!

I believe you have that backward Cowboy Bob. You die first and then you go to hell. Also loving Jesus is all fine and good but I do believe you have to accept him as your saviour as well.

If you don't take it literally or as doctrine, but instead approach it as more of an allegorical/philosophical text, SOME of the books in the bible are actually fairly interesting reads. Not to mention some very nice prose. People like this just seem to ignore all the parts about being charitable, peaceful, humble, and forgiving. A powerful weapon if in the wrong hands.

Cowboy Bob doesn't have it backward; he is merely quoting Holy Scripture: South Park

Mom, you are in serious need of oxytocin and acquired parenting skills.

You can attract more bees with honey (loving) than with vinegar (yelling). Christ is about nuturing love not about anger. The child has to do his own soul searching so he can be at peace within his soul. You can't force faith.

And for the record, Johnny , Christians are not stupid. Christians are tolerant as opposed to other religions. IE. Jokes of Jesus Christ. Yet if other religions were made fun of you'd be target practice.

My point being, stop discriminating against Christians. And be tolderant of all regardless of faith or not.

Go have a beer and relax.
