MuchMusic’s Nardwuar has Jean Chrétien join the "Hip Flip club"

Nardwuar the Human Serviette, MuchMusic journalist and Evaporators vocalist, has added former prime minister Jean Chrétien to the list of Canadian politicians who have joined the Hip Flip club, the Straight has been told.

The Straight last spoke with the Canadian pop icon in November 2007, when John Lucas shared a breakfast with Nardwuar at the Tomahawk. Lucas used a paper napkin during his meal, as opposed to the human variety.

Fellow esteemed alumni of the Hip Flip club include NDP leader Jack Layton and former prime minister Paul Martin. Prime Minister Stephen Harper was asked by Nardwuar if he would take part in the group’s initiation, but declined.
