News for Youse: Canucks fundraising jeopardized, Sarah McLachlan performs, and insider attacks
NHL lockout Club owners cancelled hockey training camp after the NHL and its players couldn't reach a deal by a September 15 deadline.
Canucks fundraising jeopardized The Canucks for Kids Fund, which generated funds through 50/50 ticket sales at NHL games, could take a hit because of the hockey lockout; since 1995, it has contributed $23 million to Canuck Place Children's Hospice, $1.25 million to B.C. Children's Hospital, and $650,000 to the Canucks Autism Network.

Usually standard operating procedures as a prelude to war.
Harper wasn't being prescient, just being Canada.
Iran wouldn't have interpreted Canada closing it's embassies with suspicion -- if the US had without pretext then it would have been a green light to Iran of an eminent attack. Doubt anyone in Iran is being fooled by the rather obvious 'intel' video.
Clearly the film was an 'intel' operation Was it US or Israel or who cares...it's irrelevant Israel is a colony of the US empire anyway it's just politically sensitive for the Zionist government to not to look less than autonomous just like it would be politically sensitive for other western nations to give full-face support to a US attack on Iran after the Iraq war crime.
The video has all the hallmarks of intel agit-prop.
1) the media uniformly, even though it admitted it knew nothing about the so-called filmmaker, nevertheless made sure to include ALWAYS that he had previous convictions with bank fraud and meth. This would be done in case the filmmaker got cold feet and decided to turn on his controllers. If he went public, the media and the public would have already been given enough 'fodder' to discount his credibility.
2) none of the actors or any of the locations (pron industry!) were told anything about the real intentions of the film. Intelligence operations are compartmentalization where the operatives are used on a need to know basis and feed different stories as to the intent. Again if they went public, their stories wouldn't match and the media could frame the whole thing as 'wild conspiracy theory'.
3) the initial protests ALSO coincided with the 9/11 anniversary and so the various 'rent a rebel' outfits put out by the Saudis and UAE circulating quite freely in most of the target countries could provide sizable crowds for western media exposure.
Accounts I've read show that most attending knew nothing of the movie and were there ...because well it was a protest against the US for many many reasons -- most reasons of course are never talked about in the western media who usually frames the ME as religious fundamentalism as opposed to very reasonable geo-political objections. The western media has a virtually blackout on any ME perspective that isn't provided by an exile community, neo-con thinktanks or CIA consultant Juan Cole.
4) I believe the US and Libya when they say officially the Libyan attack was a 'well-trained' team. Again compartmentalization -- the fire team was probably working under a different set of 'intentions' and their op was simply tied to the reaction of video through the western media narrative. The fact they couldn't apprehend them suggests a high level of professional talent.
I was reading that the British have quietly assembled their largest fleet ever in Strait of Hormuz and the US withdrawal from Iraq wasn't a deficit move, but to simply free assets for a partial occupation of Iran -- particularly the coastal areas in the Strait that are 'forward' enough to keep Iranian military hardware from disrupting the oil shipping lanes.
Make no mistake -- Israel is just the public face of yet another long decided strategic act of western imperialism.
It will be an all-party affair and Canada -- with it's Tories finally getting a majority -- will be along for the ride.
Ohh...also the West will use 'cost effective' nukes. The resulting mass damage, mega death and radioactive fall-out will be blamed on the vast vast Iranian nuclear arsenal that Israel just saved the world from...this would necessary so no one, especially Russians, would have a clear case to retaliate when all that radioactive fallout hits the surrounding countries.
Enjoy Your Sunday!
