News for Youse: Hipster hunting, Prince Charles, and deep-sea aliens

    1 of 1 2 of 1

It's Friday—and a sunny Friday at that—so we understand if all you want to do is sit around your cubicle watching videos and counting down the minutes until you're released into the wild for the weekend.

To that end, we offer a look at the week in videos.

Did you know Prince Charles is a surprisingly entertaining weatherman? His Royal Highness stopped by BBC Scotland the other day to read the local weather forecast, and proved himself to be quite capable at the task, even funny. It's heartening to know he has a solid skill to fall back on if all that princing doesn't work out.

Scientists have captured video of an unknown deep-sea creature. The video, which was shot at a depth of 1,538 metres, shows a delicate and undulating creature. Those in the know are assuming it's Deepstaria enigmatica, a rare jellyfish researchers haven't seen in decades, but we here at News for Youse know the truth: it's an ancient godlike monster of Lovecraftian proportions that we have somehow awoken. Get ready for madness, people.

Actually, now that we look at it a little more carefully, it just looks like plastic bags do after we've ingested too much LSD. These scientists don't have access to a fully equipped chemistry laboratory or anything, do they?

What else is making news these days? Two words: robotic buttocks.

Wait, that wasn't intriguing enough? "'SHIRI' is a buttocks humanoid robot that expresses various emotions with organic movement of the artificial muscles." Yes, scientists have built robot buttcheeks that express emotion.

We are so much closer to our dream of flying cars and rocket shoes than we thought.

And finally, how about a short film about hunting for hipsters? Yeah, like you're not gonna click on that.

What if some impressionable child who looks up to you as a journalist reads this and decides that drug abuse is OK?

Tell them to get a job and but their own, like everyone else in society.

I think it's really sweet that you would think that anyone would ever look up to me.
