Nickelback responds to the hate via Twitter
If you’ve ever taken a cheap shot at Nickelback, you might want to watch what you say—at least one Twitter. The person behind the Canadian band’s official Twitter page recently started responding to nasty comments with funny, sarcastic tweets.
In response to a January 21 tweet saying, “nickelback makes me want to chop my ears off #worstbandever”, Nickelback wrote: “Did you do it yet? What's the holdup?”
A tweet saying, “Nicholas Cage is the Nickelback of actors,” got the response: “That one's a little stale. Try harder next time.”
Later, Chad Kroeger and the boys responded to another tweet that said, “My stereo turned itself back on again, to nickelback AGAIN. DOES IT KNOW I FUCKING HATE THEM WITH A FIREY BURING PASSION?” with, “That makes your stereo excellent. Enjoy the flames”.
This isn’t the first time that Nickelback has responded to their haters with a touch of humor. Last November, the band recorded a video addressing an online petition trying to ban them from performing at an NFL football game.
Nobody should feel bad for Nickelback. Their seventh album, Here and Now, continues to sell.

the yobs that don't like nickelback are the same yobs that are into rap c-rap and hip-hop slop. these yobs have zero brains and who cares about these yob id-iots anyway...nickelback does rock though.

Judging by their CD sales I’d say that there are plenty of people out there who think that Nickelback doesn’t, as you so eloquently put it, “suck”.
But I’m sure they all have trouble sleeping at night just knowing that you’re out there so steadfastly hating them.

Luckily Kruger can keep his good sense of humour. Would've been different had he killed someone drunk driving his Lambo a few years back. Not sure if he just pleaded guilty to that charge though...
