No-fun Ebay change outlaws sale of magic items, potions, spells
Ebay, what are you doing to me?
In a recent update, the online auction site has decided to prohibit the sale of "advice; spells; curses; hexing; conjuring; magic; prayers; blessing services; magic potions; healing sessions; work from home businesses & information; wholesale lists, and drop shop lists."
According to the update, the site is making this wholesale change as sales of these natures "often result in issues between the buyer and seller that are difficult to resolve." (Such a shock, I know.)
The change goes into effect on September 1. Those offering Reiki, astrology services, tarot card readings, and crystal healing will still be able to peddle their wares.
But really, Ebay, this is a terrible change. Just where am I supposed to get my horcruxes from now? Yard sales? Back alleys? Craigslist? Have you met the kind of people who hang out there? (I have. It ain't pretty.)
Serious question: who would pay for advice through Ebay?
