Nyan Cat wishes everyone a happy Nyan year!

As unbelievable as it may seem, Nyan Cat was one of the top viral videos of 2011.

Well, after watching just a few viral videos (and the fact that anything involving cats on the internet gets attention), I guess it's not too hard to believe that anything is possible.

Anyhow, the Pop-Tart-bodied, Japanese pop-song-dancing cat, created by animator Christopher Torres, wants to wish us all a happy new year, appropriately enough.

This version features Nyan Cat with the body of a very famous ball and 2012 glasses. Plus, instead of the trademark "Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya!" song, Nyan Cat flies through the ether to the tune of a rather familiar tune.

So here it is, for your enjoyment (or annoy-ment).
