Obama administration hypocrisy highlighted in treatment of the Occupy movement

With NPA mayoral candidate Suzanne Anton threatening to shut down the Occupy Vancouver protest within a week after the November 19 election, I thought it was worth posting the short film below.

It juxtaposes images of the Obama administration's comments about the Arab Spring and the treatment of members of the Occupy movement in North America.

Anton, a former Crown counsel, has been giving a voice to her inner prosecutor in the Vancouver mayoral race. Maybe it's time she took a few minutes off the campaign to view this video.

Sounds like greed
I am tired of Lawson1945 whining about everyone else.

There is no confusion. It is shear brilliance that no one issue or topic has been put forward. Brilliant!

I'm tired of people whining about how Lawson complains about how Charlie whines about how Anton complains about the Occupiers methods of complaint.

Since OWS is a Soros creation, this supposed "opposition" between Obama and OWS is for show only. Never the name of Geithner was mentionned by OWS while he was one of the artisan of the debacle.

Niether Susan Anton, nor Gregor Robertson will be getting my vote in the next election. Robertson for showing poor leadership when leadership was needed. Anton won't get my vote, anyone who wants to prevent any group, or person to excersize a democratic right to voice opinions, gather and to protest in a non-violent way, still has much to learn about what it takes to be a leader. Clearly Anton is opportunistic, not making much attempt in the rest of this campaign to weigh in about more polarizing issues, instead appearing day after day, and week after week in the media to disccuss her opposition to bike lanes, and chicken coops. Only now does she stand in opposition to an issue, not because of the issue itself but its proximity to the election. She, with a background as crown consel, should know these issues have been to court in Canada before and the right to protest was upheld. Anton will not get my vote because through all this she shows herself to be untrustworthy, and unfocused in her own beliefs.

1% against the 99% is easy to understand. What has to be taken into account in the equation is that out of the 99% only 1% is fully awake, they are the ones you see protesting at occupy Wall Street. If you have to be reminded why people protest at OWS, it means you are part of the induced deep sleep ones or you do not mind being lead by Slitherins.

"I tired of these Occupy Vancouver these people are confused they do not know what they want!"

It's great to see so many people (but at least not the majority) regurgitating this corporate line dished out by all of the predictable sources one would expect to be trying to set the narrative with OWS. I heard it ons da TV's!

But it's not working. You are already out of step and out of date. First they were hippies and Commies and anarchists. Then they were professional protesters without clues. Now they are inscrutable and mysterious. Count on this: next they will be violent rabble-rousing mobs of vicious law-breakers just out looking for trouble.
