Pantychrist singer proves punk is not dead with murder charge

Despite the best efforts of Green Day, Blink-182, and Simple Plan, punk as it was originally envisioned isn’t dead after all. Not to make light of a tragedy, but Hamilton’s Danielle Delottinville is living proof of that.

Remember how, back in the good old days, punk rockers were expected to be role models for misunderstood sociopaths? You had Sid Vicious stabbing his girlfriend to death and then overdosing before he ever went to trial. GG Allin rolling around naked in his own shit on-stage, and then physically attacking his audience. Death Sentence’s Pete Cleaver stapling his own nuts to a park bench.

Amazingly, Delottinville, singer for Hamilton’s Pantychrist, has just outdone all those icons one better in the notoriety department. According to the Hamilton Spectator, the 28-year-old frontwoman has been arrested and charged for the December 19 murder of Jessie Kovacs.

Kovacs, a 55-year-old retired antique dealer, was found dead on December 22 at his Hamilton apartment with his hands taped behind his back. Police have also arrested two men in connection with the incident, which they have described as a robbery that went wrong.

Here’s Pantychrist doing the delicately titled number “The Cunt Song”.

I'm not sure Green Day or Blink 182 ever labelled themselves as 'punk' as it was envisioned, or that anyone 'envisioned' punk at all. Music is music, not fitting into a mold or template doesn't necessarily make it any less valid. Isn't punk all about doing what's not cool anyway?

"Bad Taste?" WTF is Punk then. Her lifestyle is not what is supposed to be on trial yet that is what is happening - guilty in ADD internet eyes before any of you know even the most basics like we do. She's being vilified for a stage persona and shitty old clips of the band while the victim is sacrosanct, you can't say ill of the dead, yet what of the truth? His money such as he told people about came not from the swapshop business but from a settlement against the Hamilton Police - this was how he had explained it and would help to explain the massive police presence and zeal to do right by the family they had already wronged.
The problem here is that the two who would have done the robbery are not glamourous, sexy or in bands... yet they can make up for all this by standing up and telling the truth that Danielle was not there and quit being pussies hiding behind a little girls skirt. And YES I do know a bit bout what I'm talking about. L8R until bomshells begin to rain. jAEdn DeVille
