Photos: Dunbar Haunted House opens for Halloween 2010 in Vancouver

As one of the best in the city, the Dunbar Haunted House (6478 Dunbar Street) never disappoints.

Each year brings a different theme, this year's being "Terror of History".

At night, live actors are scattered around the haunted house to add some extra scare factors to the mix. Keep an eye out for the mechanical ghoulies too.

The Dunbar Haunted House is open now until October 31. Its hours of operation are Sunday to Thursday, 1 to 9 p.m., and Friday to Saturday, 1 p.m. to midnight.

On Halloween, the haunted house will open from 1 p.m. to midnight.

Live actors do their thing nightly from 6:30 p.m. to closing time. Bringing kids during the nighttime hours isn't recommended, as it can be quite scary.

Admission is by donation. Proceeds will go to the B.C. Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, the Christmas Bureau, and the Vancouver Police Union Charity Foundation.

Parking in the area is limited, so be prepared to walk a couple of blocks.

This Haunted house is always SOOO amazing! Another great find this year for me was the Vancouver Trolley ghost tour. You go all over the city with a guide and go to several of the cities most haunted locations, and you even get to go to the MORGUE. Very fun night! I highly recommend it
