Photos: Nearly naked PETA protest encourages people to go vegan

Two nearly naked members of the activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals took to the streets of Vancouver on August 17 to encourage people to practice a vegan lifestyle. Wearing almost nothing except paint depicting butchers' cuts of meat, the women carried signs reading "All Animals Have the Same Parts—Go Vegan".

The women also hit the streets of Victoria with the same message earlier this week.

Put this on the Pamela Anderson billboard and everyone complains. It seems to be a peaceful demonstration. Oh, to go to BC.

Well, a few years back they compared animal transports to the Holocaust. They simply have no shame - and no clue. So, it's pointless to rely on either when dealing with these people.

Screw PETA and anyone who tells me not to eat meat I'll knock them out and eat a steak.
Maybe if those girls actually ate some meat they'd have better bodies and maybe some color in their skintone.

I agree with Robert. John is definetely gay. Those women have excellent bodies and wonderful complexions. Vegans DO tend to be slim and feminine, while meat eaters tend to have extra weight in places they shouldnt.
Peta is absolutely right,no one can deny that animals DO have the same parts. Those who oppose this protest, are only those who fear the reality that it brings.

peta need more ways to get their story over to the public stop hiding behind picture- etc just go nude to tell what they believe is the truth. its natural to be nude stop hiding the facts

Sometimes you have to resort to tactics that force people to take notice of your particular issue.These ladies should get anyone's attention that has a half decent set of eyes in their head.

I'm with Kevin - and I hope PETA supports my campaign for premier when the Wildrose gets going -- {though I would tend not to denigrate this beautiful spectacle they have created--with my own participation}.

This is masterful public relations. (I would like to say I thought of it myself but some woman who looks like my brother at BCHRT would likely label me a pedophile for so doing).

They used what they had to get peoples' attention. The cruelty and murder of animals is wrong, and it soaks our society in violence and stupidity with every meal. Eating meat is unnecessary, and causes disease, pollution, habitat loss, species extinction, and possibly contributes to crime and war. This is a critical message that people must confront - and the sooner the better, because kindness and respect shown to all people and animals is the critical issue that blocks human progress and threatens the survival of not only tens of thousands of animal species each year, but humanity as a whole.

This is the stupidest protest idea I've ever seen. If everyone stopped eating meat, they'd stop protesting and put their clothes back on. If anything, this makes me want to eat more meat to make them protest more.

I'm off to get a steak.
