Photos: SlutWalk Vancouver takes over downtown streets to fight sexual assault
More than a thousand people marched through downtown Vancouver on Sunday (May 15) to send a clear message: "No means no."
Held to counter prevailing notions and media coverage that excuse sexual assault, the first-ever SlutWalk Vancouver began at the Vancouver Art Gallery and stopped by Canada Place before hitting Granville Street.
Marchers chanted "The length of my skirt doesn't change my worth" and carried signs with messages such as "Stop victim blaming and sex shaming".
Here's a look at the SlutWalk in pictures.
