The six-city casting tour for the Canadian version of The Bachelor reality TV show kicked off right here in Vancouver on Sunday (February 19).

Dozens of women came out for the open auditions at the Loden Hotel, hoping to vie for the heart of an as-yet unnamed bachelor.

every single one of these reality shows have been fraud, the guy just some paid actor and wholly a douche. the sham marriages all over tabloids in failure. remember all the 'megan wants a millionaire' and other nonsense copycats? none of those dudes were millionaires.

you gain nothing from being on reailty TV except for ending up being lampooned weekly in TMZ. if that's the kind of fame you want for the tiny salary they give you on these shows, enjoy

Who cares? If people want to have a bit of fun and something good comes of it- that's great! It's the as Internet dating or meeting in a bar it's all like running a gauntlet. Quit it with your the negative chi. And no I didn't apply!

Don't make Vancouver look bad. Don't be a whiny,skanky,self-absorbed,narcissistic,bubble-head, type who lists shopping as a hobby or how the world revolves around them.
Please show class. Vancouver doesn't need any more negative stereotypes about the money-grabbing,self-centered,materialistic,fake flakey girls in this town.

Don't be angry. Though you might like dating other ethnics , television still likes Caucasians in mainstream. plus this show isn't dating JUST for Vancouver. So it needs to represent what most men like. Just look at all the USA reality shows. There are numerous shows on many ethnic channels that promote and host what they like. it is what it is.

Hmm. Wasn't Vancouver's Jillian Harris, the 5th bachelorette a contestant on the much-talked-about Jason Mesnick season of The Bachelor. She finished in third place behind Molly Malaney and Melissa Rycroft. Jillian went on to star in her own season of The Bachelorette, which was set to air in May, 2009.

And she claims that she is a Restaurant interior designer.

And what has been the attitude to her?

a respectful, classy girl doesn't turn into a drama queen or whiny twit just because the producers may or may not tell her too. She is what she is. Be wary of the leopard that changes its spots that WILL BE YOUR reality with her.
