The restaurant space that previously occupied Lumière and db Bistro Moderne until both restaurants closed in March 2011 will soon have a new tenant.

Patrick Corsi, managing partner of Q4 Ristorante, and his partner Alex B. Tsakumis announced Wednesday (March 21) that Q4 Ristorante by Quattro (2611 West 4th Avenue) will relocate to 2563 West Broadway in May.

The new space will give the Kitsilano restaurant, which was originally known as Quattro on Fourth when it opened in 1994, more seating as well as an opportunity to try something new. The east side of the restaurant will be transformed into a wine bar and cocktail lounge, and the larger kitchen will service Q4 Catering and a new packaged foods division the company is launching.

The Italian restaurant will be open for dinner nightly, lunch from Mondays to Fridays, and brunch on weekends. The new dining room will include 200 seats, a large bar, and a private room for up to 25 diners.

A sister restaurant, Q4 Al Centro (780 Richards Street), which opened in December 2010, continues to operate downtown.
