Richard Branson tweets an apology regarding kitesurfing invitation to Christy Clark

Virgin Group founder Richard Branson has tried to calm the waters over a tweet that went around the country earlier this week.

On May 28, the colourful billionaire suggested that Premier Christy Clark could come kitesurfing with him provided she took off all of her clothes.

Today, the chastened business mogul sent out the following message of regret on his Twitter account: "Kitesurfing 'check the dress code' comment was a joke. Apologies if anyone took it seriously or thought it in bad taste, no offence meant."

In some circles, this is could be construed as a non-apology apology because Branson's comment includes the qualifier "if". A true apology, in the eyes of non-apology-apology watchers, comes when a person acknowledges that he or she has made an error, takes back the comment, and expresses genuine regret to the person on the receiving end.

He's got his tail between his legs because Christie spanked him with a retort on Twitter saying if that was his best pick-up line, it's no wonder his company is called Virgin(!)

This was a PR stunt , Branson is a hard core capitalist and loves scumbags like Harper and Clark they make him money becuase they are greedy . The little fake tet a tet made her look good and Brason well he'll get something for this in the future , just look at his investments .
I'll leave it there .

follow the money? It goes back to the consumer.

Say our society wasn't based on the manufacturing, buying, and selling of goods, services, and information, but was instead based on playing Pac-Man, could you fault someone for fairly getting a really high score?

Also, I'm not completely sure what you're accusing Sir Richard of; keep in mind his extremely long record of humanitarian work.

If he is a billionaire, he hasn't done nearly enough humanitarian work.
