Right-wing reporter pokes fun at bread lines, ethical sands at NDP leadership convention

If you missed the NDP leadership convention this past weekend (Thomas Mulcair won), here's a report from the Sun News Network.

Wait, that's not a Fox News North reporter hassling leadership candidates and party members; it's comedian Scott Vrooman of the sketch group Picnicface.

As he observes, "This is what a communist Canada would look like."

I laughed, gotta love the humorless douche in the 'bread' line and Masters in bomb assembly. Too bad picnicface is terrible.

My guess is that the NDP has peaked and their new leader will run into problems holding together the many competing factions they would need to get a majority.

Really funny. Stephen Colbert would tip his hat to this.

Mulcair will move forward - not backward. Bet on it.

Just because the NDP cannot handle internet voting does not mean we should give up on it, the dummies, I love internet voting!

Dear Ron,

You missed the boat. It's called comedy. It's a funny thing.

There seems to be some confusion as to the target of the humour here. Scott Vrooman is a comedian. In the guise of a far-right "journalist", he is poking satirical fun at reactionary media outlets like Fox News and its ilk.
The "lefties" are merely his (very) convenient foil (or straight man, take your pick). The fact that some of them are not in on the joke merely adds a layer of verisimilitude to the exercise.
All in all, an easy target on both sides, admittedly.
