The rock circus just keeps on getting weirder at Nickelback's Vancouver show

Nickelback just played a handful of songs on a circular mini-stage in the middle of the floor, which rose at least 25 feet above the audience's heads. Now the band is back on the main stage and using T-shirt cannons to dole out merch while flinging full cups of beer into the crowd. The rock circus just keeps on getting weirder.

Georgia Straight music writer Alex Hudson is posting items of interest from tonight's (June 26) Nickelback concert at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Check out the full review tomorrow at www.straight.com/music.

No wonder they have all those gimmicks to cover up their crappy music.

If I went to that show I'd want my nickel back, too.

Great review, Alex! I hope you got danger pay... can't believe you sat through all three opening bands.
