Roger Waters gets comfortably numb

Roger Waters is now performing "Comfortably Numb", which is the best song from The Wall. And not just because of David Gilmour's fan-freaking-tastic guitar solo. Okay, maybe because of that.

Steve Newton is filing items of interest from the Roger Waters concert at B.C. Place. Watch for his review of the concert tomorrow morning.

Roger Waters isn't the only superstar in Pink Floyd but he was the only Pink Floyd superstar in Vancouver last night. Does this reporter even know what he saw last night? Obviously not...

It's not Newt's fault. It's a headline/cutline (now fixed) gremlin. Steve just wrote that Gilmour's axe solo is the reason Numb is the best tune on the original album (which is pretty clear).
Believe me, he (and the rest of the world) would know it if Gilmour sauntered on-stage.

People are having a go at the author but hes just saying its the best song on the album because of Gilmour's solo.

Its the less intelligent folk responding who need to have another read at the post!

The Kilmeister did a good job.
You don't get David Gilmours sound unless you've got Gilmour In The Flesh.
But the guy did O. K.
Killer sound system I don't think you can judge what other concerts in B.C. Place will sound like by this one. Three massive front of house arrays for sound, front, right center behind the screen. The eight hanging arrays around the top sides, the overhead downward setup and tied into the stadiums JBL in house system
Nothing will come close to that for a long time. Roger owned B.C. Place for speaker setup and made the room look small with all of his gear.

Kris, that might be what it looks like, but this post in its original form actually seemed to indicate that Gilmour was playing (the original headline for this piece, at least according to the Twitter link, was "Roger Waters gets comfortably numb while David Gilmour's guitar solo impresses", and the closing text of the piece originally referred to a Pink Floyd show and not a Roger Waters show). The headline error was likely not Steve Newton's fault, but it's not entirely fair to judge the comments based on the current state of the story, following a number of corrections, either.

I know Waters wrote the lyrics but it's totally and completely Gilmour's song. Waters may have been the brains of Floyd but Gilmour was the sound and heart, Wright was the soul, and Mason the backbone.
