A year ago, Matthew Huszar vanished from the streets of Vancouver.

Huszar was last seen leaving an office Christmas party just before midnight on December 16, 2011, at a Gastown pub in the 100 block of Water Street. He was supposed to be leaving to head home to Victoria the next day but he never arrived.

Vancouver police investigators and Huszar's family are asking the public again for any assistance in helping to locate Huszar, who would now be 26 years old.

He is described as white, 5'11" tall, and 160 lbs., with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. When he was last seen, he was wearing black dress pants, a white-and-blue checkered shirt, black shoes, and a dark green tweed three-quarter-length coat with a coarse checked pattern.

He is a UBC graduate, a successful geologist, and an active outdoorsman with a girlfriend. He had no known financial, mental health, or drug issues. His disappearance was out of character.

The family is still offering a $10,000 reward. For more information (including additional photos of Matthew), visit the Please help find Matthew Huszar website.
