Simi Sara lets CKNW listeners take some shots at Gordo's Order of B.C.

It looks like CKNW Radio has a found a progressive talk-show host to fill the shoes of Premier Christy Clark.

I just finished a segment on the Simi Sara Show, which began late last month in the 12:30 to 3 p.m. time slot. She is not a B.C. Liberal–loving right winger, which sets her apart from many who've hosted shows on that station over the years. (Maverick broadcaster Jon McComb is one exception to that rule.)

Sara had previously been a CKNW guest host and before that, she hosted a morning talk show on AM 1410. Last winter, she came across well on CBC Radio's Canada Reads series, which proves she reads books.

Today, we discussed the recent Order of British Columbia award going to former premier Gordon Campbell. Not surprisingly, most of the callers disagreed with the decision. And guess what? Sara didn't cut them off.

Now if they will just get rid of Charles Adler, the Canadian Rush Limbaugh, I might actually listen to NW once in a while...

Simple Sara unable to cut people off ? She probably forgot which button to hit. Come on, Charlie, this one doesn't have a brain in her head. Her success comes from being aggressive where her career is concerned.

      Hey Chuck!
Live podcasts/Radio are dead for corps that have to fill airtime with millionaires reading news from their AP subscriptions as well as something called Talk Radio? They actually are more interested in selling off their frequencies via gubmint auctions to their parent companies?

So your suggesting that folks should flock to Simi's livestream between 1-3 and listen to their in-house ad clients pushing 'joint wellness' and home fix it?

It's funny...in the age I live in...people are free to avoid ghastly media like that!

Simi is a soft-headed leftie and a federal liberal that probably won her job becasue of affirmative action. Unless she is capable of changing her point of view she probably won't last a year on CKNW.

I just find her really boring. She throws nothing but soft ball questions, doesn't care if they are manipulated into some political rant by her guests. She's just fluff, soft sound fill in between commercials.
CKNW is losing it's edge, absolutely.
