Steve Nash to hoop it up at GM Place in October

Victoria's Steve Nash, fresh off signing his two-year, $22 million extension with the Phoenix Suns, will be front and centre when his Suns take on the Portland Trail Blazers in an NBA exhibition game at GM Place on October 22.

The game marks the return of the NBA to Vancouver for the first time since Nash and the Suns faced the Seattle Sonics two years ago. It's also believed Nash will take part in a charity soccer event prior to the basketball game.

Partial proceeds from the NBA game will go to the Steve Nash Foundation. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on August 8.
