Surrey students teach a lesson in income inequality

Students at Princess Margaret Secondary School in Surrey made this video as part of activities surrounding End Poverty Day in October. In the clip, which promotes the B.C. Poverty Reduction Coalition, the students use their bodies to paint a picture of income inequality in B.C.

Good for you! I want to eradicate poverty, not just reduce it. We need a poverty eradication plan. It would be easy if we taxed rich people and gave it to poor people. Unfortunately, the rich control the government, so it doesn't get done. We need to change how politics is done in Canada and BC. To do that we need a Voters Bloc made up of poor people and their allies big enough to dictate who wins in any election and able to control elected representatives between elections. Until this happens nothing will change for the better.

The only allies of poor people,are poor people. So to win an election you would need more poor people. Kinda spoils your plan huh. There is no way you will ever eradicate poverty. There will always be greed,laziness and lack of talent. Maybe in your next life you can save all the flowers in the world too!
