Swedish Hasbeens for H&M clogs launches in stores
From the country that brought us ABBA and Ikea, comes a highly covetable Swede-on-Swede collaboration. Clog company Swedish Hasbeens for fashion giant H&M launches in H&M stores today.
H&M's designer collaborations have consistently helped me indulge in my fashion fantasies while remaining relatively light on the wallet. Some of my favourite H&M designer collections that have made appearances (mind you, only for a few hours before becoming completely sold out) at Vancouver's Pacific Centre (609 Granville Street) flagship store have been cheerful Finnish label Marimekko, polka dot-splashed Japanese label Comme des Garcons, and camp-in-the-cold-worthy Lanvin.
Today (April 20) marks the launch of another covet-worthy collection. Swedish Hasbeens is a footwear label that launched in 2006. Inspired by the wooden heel made so famous by swingin' hippies in the '70s and the Dutch, Swedish Hasbeens look retro yet impeccably modern with its use of bright colours and clean lines.
The Swedish Hasbeens for H&M collection consists of three styles: a Mary Jane (how timely) sandal that comes in red or white, a wedge sandal available in black, tan, or white, and a closed-toe, lace-up number done in mock croc. How chic!
