Titillate your inner nerd with Geeks After Dark

This Saturday, July 14, at 6 pm, the Cellar (1006 Granville) hosts a sexy send-up of the Star Wars franchise, entitled Geeks After Dark: A Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy.

Presented by local events group Geeks After Dark, this celebration of geek culture features Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi hosting burlesque performances by Chai Tea and Flash LeFox, Reese Kay, Tawdry Audrey, Misty Meanor, and Riannaconda. While the details on individual acts are scarce, I’d count on seeing a Slave Leia or two.

Previously, Geeks After Dark has taken on other themes like Doctor Who and Care Bears. Later this year, the nerdy-nightlife group will present events based around the creations of Joss Whedon and a time-travelling convention held in Barkerville, B.C.’s own recreation frontier town.
