If you love guitars and dogs--and have a fondness for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers as well--then here's an auction for you.

Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell is currently taking bids on eBay for a charity lunch with himself that also includes a private guitar lesson. So you can help support Rock the Dogs--the organization he and Petty put together to help elderly people and shut-ins living alone with dogs--have a nice meal with one of the tastiest (and most underrated) pickers around, and then take home a few licks.

Last time we checked the highest bid was US$1,125, which ain't exactly dog chow. But hey, it's tax deductible!

If I ever won a private guitar lesson with Mike Campbell I'd maybe get him to teach me that sweet slide solo from "I Won't Back Down". Like I said before: tasty.
