It's a lesson that celebs just can't seem to learn: if you don't want your topless photo/sex tape/hate-spewing e-mail rant to get out to the public at large, perhaps posting it on the Internet or keeping it in a public folder on your computer is not the brightest idea.
The latest star to learn this the hard way is Hayley Williams, frontwoman for the emo-pop band Paramore, whose topless image will keep the Web buzzing for, say, the next hour or so. The photo, which shows the 21-year-old singer looking directly at the camera with her shirt pulled down, was posted to Williams's Twitter account last night. Williams subsequently deleted the photo and Tweeted "well... my night just changed drastically. got hacked." She has not offered any further comment on the matter.
The photo was on-line long enough to spread like wildfire to blogs and celebrity-gossip sites. This might put a dent in Williams's otherwise squeaky-clean image, but the flurry of attention probably won't hurt sales of "Airplanes", her collaborative single with B.o.B., which currently holds the number 2 slot on the Billboard Hot 100.
