This November and December, the family-friendly Vancouver Christmas Market will explore German culture through crafts, food, and live entertainment for all ages.

This year, the market will feature more than 45 vendors in traditional wooden booths, rows of lit and decorated Christmas trees, a children’s carousel, and five new vendors who will be selling traditional German Christmas decorations.

The hearty, cold-weather cuisine on offer will include beverages like glüehwein (mulled wine) and more substantial specialty dishes like brataepfel (stuffed baked apples), schupfnudeln (rolled noodles), leberkäes (meatloaf), and, of course, bratwurst.

The selection of live entertainment includes performances by the Dal Richards Big Band, James Productions–Christmas Pops, the Langley Ukulele Ensemble, the VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir, Trio Accord, the B.C. Boys Choir, and the Carnival Band.

The Vancouver Christmas Market will run from November 24 to December 24, 11 am to 9 pm, at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza (650 Hamilton). Tickets are priced at $5 for adults and $2 for youth, while admission is free for kids under six years of age.

Look for the new Vancouver Christmas Passport available at the Vancouver Christmas Market. It will have a free pass to the market. Also going to be available at Vandusen Gardens with a free ticket, and Bloedel Conservatory; Jewel Box of Lights in Queen Elizabeth Park. You can get the Christmas Passport at the gate. Cheers, RV
