Vancouver Maritime Museum named as one of world's best

Marine Insite magazine has just named Vancouver Maritime Museum as one of the 10 best facilities of its kind in the world.

That's a high-water mark when you consider it sails on the list alongside such institutions as the San Diego Maritime Museum, Sydney Maritime Museum, and Netherlands National Maritime Museum.

Insite describes the Vanier Park landmark this way: "Built as a commemoration to the city’s centenary, the Vancouver Maritime Museum boasts of various relevant and important Canadian maritime artefacts. In its almost six decades of operation, the museum has played an important role to provide full satiation to the marine enthusiasts’ desire to explore more about the domain."
