Vancouver's 2011 Grey Cup Festival boasts three days of concerts

      Excited about the 99th Grey Cup Championship? You will be after these events, because Vancouver plays host to the 2011 Grey Cup Festival from November 24 to 27.

      If you’re in it purely for the football, be sure to check out the 47th Vanier Cup Championship (Nov. 25) and the 99th Grey Cup Championship (Nov. 27), both held at B.C. Place.

      Meanwhile, nearby Beatty Street will feature the TELUS StreetFest (Nov. 25-27), the PlayNow.com Main Stage (Nov. 25-27), and the CN Field (Nov. 25-27).

      Downtown Vancouver is the location for the Safeway Grey Cup Festival Parade (Nov. 26), while Jack Poole Plaza is the place to be to check out the Nissan Family Zone (Nov. 25-27), the Canadian Direct Stage (Nov. 25-27), and the Vancouver Sun FanFest (Nov. 26).

      Activities at the Vancouver Convention Centre West include Gibson’s Finest CFL Player Awards (Nov. 24), Blakes After-Party (Nov. 24), Molson Canadian House (Nov. 25-27), the Scotiabank Football Experience (Nov. 25-27), and the Scotiabank Show Your Colours Gala (Nov. 26).

      The Molson Canadian House (located at the Vancouver Convention Centre West) will be hosting concerts all weekend long, including performances by Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts, Revolver, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Colin James, Skratch Bastid, Aaron Pritchett, Tennessee 3, the Odds, and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings.

      The PlayNow.com Main Stage bosts a bumper crop of concerts, including performances by the Dudes, Kyprios, Bend Sinister, Guilty About Girls, Rococode, Stone Pines, Said the Whale, Hey Ocean, the Matinee, the Belle Game, TV Heart Attack, Louder Than Love, Head of the Heard, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
