Video: The Dictator offers praise for Stephen Harper's media silencing

In a preview of an interview with George Stroumboulopoulos, Sacha Baron Cohen's repressive Admiral General Aladeen offered high praise for Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper.

"I commend your leaders on silencing your media. For the last 10 years I have not even heard a single noteworthy event happening in Canada."

The Dictator hits Vancouver theatres on May 16.

Baron Cohen is a funny guy. Hes obviously Jewish and proud. My concern is that many of his stereotypes of the Arab, Muslim, etc are pretty much just that stereotypes.
Interesting on the commercial of this movie he uses a Punjabi MC song not to confuse dimwits that its a East Indian song not Arabic or Muslim.
But his work in Borat was funny even though ironically Cohen who is half Iranian looks more Middle Eastern than those he satire. Anyway Adam Sandler is funnier and Tom Green.

Adam Sandler is funnier? And Tom Green.... funnier? What planet are you from? Sandler is hardly funny, and Tom Green is.... well, not funny at all.

Can't say that I have noticed any media silencing, other than the Globe and Mail and Black Press paywall issue. Would that there was a smidgeon of Barack Obama silencing by the U.S. media; the guy is seriously overexposed and becoming a subject of derision by all but his besotted media handmaidens. Chris Matthews, at the front of the line, tingling.

Sacha Baron Cohen is even funnier than George Stroumboulopoulos trying to be tough.

I dont think that Sacha could get away with what he does if he was not jewish! He seems to enjoy portraying muslim men as being stupid ! Ali G , Borat and now The Dictator who while promoting his latest film referred to some of the Hollywood community as zionist snakes!
Racist? Modern day "Black Face" if you ask me !
