Video: Jill the border collie, urban deer herder

In Alberta’s Waterton Lakes National Park, it’s the job of one Parks Canada employee to patrol the townsite (which is inside the park), looking for mule deer and encouraging them to move out of the community and into safe areas. The catch? This employee is a border collie named Jill.

Fast forward to the end if you want to see some pretty neat dog’s-eye-view footage.

Thanks for sharing, but you'd be hard pressed to find a mountain that big in Ontario. A couple of things to share....this video is from Alberta's Waterton Lakes National Park. Jill would like you to know that she is only working in the townsite, which is inside the national park. Go to www.pc.gc.ca/waterton.
