Video: On the set of Sanctuary: Season Three

Last week, those cool kids from the locally shot TV series Sanctuary invited the Georgia Straight to their green-screen studio to take a peek at what goes on behind the scenes.

The season two box-set comes out on DVD today, but the production is in the midst of shooting season three.

In the following video, you can catch brief appearances by creator, writer, and producer Damian Kindler, Christopher Heyerdahl (who is shown rehearsing as John Druitt, but who also plays Bigfoot), Amanda Tapping (Dr. Helen Magnus), and Robin Dunne (Dr. Will Zimmerman).

There's also a segment in which visual effects supervisor Lee Wilson shows a demo reel that compares how the footage looks when first shot on green screen, and then after the visual effects are added.

Dunne and Agam Darshi (who plays Kate Freelander) previously gave some hints as to what to expect in season three at the Leo Awards red carpet, where the series won seven out of its seventeen nominations.
