Wanna see Metallica for five bucks?
In probably the biggest news since Andy “Chops” Wynarsky cleared 12 propane tanks on his BMX at a pit party in Mission last week, Metallica has added a third Vancouver show, on Monday (August 27)—and tix are only five bucks.
There’s a small catch. The band wants to complete filming on its 3D concert film, so while you’ll be getting the full set, you’ll also be expected to watch, fight, make-out, wedgie one another, or otherwise occupy yourselves while cameras and lights are “repositioned as the director sees fit.”
For special fan club pre-sale this afternoon, you are instructed to visit Metallica’s webpage. For the rest of you dirty skids, tickets go on sale with Ticketmaster tomorrow, at 9:00 AM—details here.
The Bay Area rockers add that all proceeds go to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, bless their little pointy heads.

Metallica puts on one of the BEST live shows you'll ever see. $100 is worth it. $5? HELL YES.

I have never, ever "gotten" Metallica, but I'm more than willing to invest the time and the $5 to see if it will change anything.
