What every rocker wants for Christmas this year: the Les Paul Studio Limited guitar
Just came across this new Gibson guitar that's sure to get six-string freaks foaming at the mouth. It's called the Les Paul Studio Limited, and apart from kicking ass, it does all kinds of cool technical stuff. Here's the scoop from Gibson's marketing department:
"Welcome the 2012 Les Paul Studio Limited, a guitar born out of the great tradition of the original Les Paul Standard, equipped with the latest incarnations of Robot Guitar tuning capabilities, Chameleon Tone Technology, and the massive connectivity potential of Gibson's latest "Blue Dot" Robot Interface Pack (RIP), included. All this, and the 2012 Les Paul Studio Limited is still a descendant of the timeless classic in every regard, with traditional Les Paul tonewoods, specs and playability, two of Gibson's most revered magnetic pickups, plus a piezo-loaded bridge for acoustic tones, and the great look of its Fireburst Finish in hand-sprayed, high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer."
Okay, enough of that high-tech mumbo-jumbo. I just like how guitarist Bart Walsh of Gibson USA cranks out licks reminiscent of ZZ Top, Mountain, Guns N' Roses, and AC/DC--not to mention Chet Atkins--in this YouTube clip.
You can definitely get yer ya ya's out on this beauty--for a mere three grand American.
